All Ram Ram 1500s Wanted in Arizona for Cash

WS, ST, SLT, Laramie SLT, Sport, Laramie, Tradesman, Express, Big Horn, Lone Star, Outdoorsman, R/T, Rumble Bee, SRT-10, Rebel, Warlock, Laramie Longhorn, Limited Longhorn, Limited, Tungsten, TRX, RHO, TRX SRT

The Dodge Ram 1500 came to North America with its name in the 1994 model year with the characteristic grille and tall hood that was typical for redesigned Dodge. Earlier half-ton pickups used the names D150 and W150. The following guide focuses on the 1500 designation and tracks the evolution of this vehicle from a regular workhorse to a family pickup, luxury vehicle, and performance truck.

At Sell Us Your Car, we evaluate trucks from Arizona owners for our buying program. Our findings from September 2026 on the Dodge Ram 1500 models sold in the U.S. market and the subsequent generations of Ram trucks and Ram 1500 Classics confirm the relevant products until 2027. Our multi-tier cross-examination approach involves national standards of acquisition values, as well as state and city conditions in Arizona, including any limits imposed on emissions from vehicles located in and around Phoenix and Tucson. Note that the quoted figures are not average transactions of vehicles sold in Arizona cities.

There are numerous cab styles, lengths of beds, trims, types of engines, and different types of drivetrains available for each time period. One of the key points of demarcation occurs in 2019 when Ram 1500, boasting a revamped look, becomes available but the old version of the truck continues to be produced as a Classic version. As a result of this, two trucks corresponding to the same model year may differ in their cabs, types of equipment, and possibility of purchase.

All dollar amounts indicated are related to present estimated acquisition cost and not dealer retail asking price or private party selling price. They represent potential purchases not accounting for transport, inspection, reconditioning, dismantling (where it applies), overhead and resale margin related to the purchase calculation. Arizona heat combined with use of a vehicle for towing, sun damage and cooling system condition can greatly impact an offer notwithstanding the body being clean looking.

How Much Your Good-Running Ram 1500 May Be Worth in Arizona

The estimated dealer purchase price ranges for different years appear in the table, and the differences arise from the cab type, engine type, mileage, condition, and accessories.

Model yearsEstimated dealer purchase rangeMain value factors
1994–1999Individual appraisal, representative 1999 Regular Cab trade-in benchmark around $2,000Clean title, proper operation, ordinary mileage and wear, frame condition, Magnum V8 health, automatic-transmission operation, working air conditioning
2000–2009Around $2,300 to $3,100 for typical configurations of 2005 with every other year assessed separatelyRedesigns in 2002, 2009, cab and bed configurations, operation of 4WD, condition of HEMI, wear of towing function, separate appraisal of SRT-10
2010–2019Approximately $4,000–$9,500 for sampled 2015 trucks, other years individually appraisedMileage, service history, eight-speed transmission, EcoDiesel condition, air suspension, 2019 Classic versus redesigned platform
2020–2027Approximately $16,000–$25,000 for sampled 2020 trucks, later years individually appraisedConventional versus revamped framework, Crew Cab features, HEMI or Hurricane engine, high-end versions, individual evaluations for TRX and RHO, short history about newest version

A good truck has a functional engine, is driveable, is free of any major unrepaired damage, has a decent mileage for its age, and does not require any immediate complicated repair work. For older versions of Dodges, a solid chassis, a functioning transmission, and air conditioning are usually more crucial than chrome detailing. A good basic cab truck for work goes to a different market than a crew-cab four-wheel-drive truck.

Overall, estimated acquisition values for the sampled 2015 Ram 1500 amount to a range of around $4,000 to $9,500 for trucks that typically have about 94,000 to 176,000 miles. Estimated acquisition values for 2020 sample vehicles correspond to a wider range of approximately $16,000 to $25,000 across different configurations as well as mileages of sampled pickups.

It is important to note, however, that the provided examples are meant to serve merely as reference points rather than actual offers or complete ranges in regard to those model years. It is also worth noting that the 2019 redesign and newer versions of luxury trims and performance trucks deserve separate analysis as well.

Before applying those priorities in Arizona, we analyze wear due to towing, functionality of the cooling system, bed damage, tire condition, and past repairs. Four-wheel drive may be helpful as long as the transfer case and differential are not damaged. Cars such as SRT-10 and TRX need to be evaluated separately and unmatched collector cars should not be taken into consideration when determining the value of standard trucks.

How Much Your Crashed or Junk Ram 1500 May Be Worth in Arizona

Truck types that do not work due to crash or mechanical breakdowns or have been damaged to a greater or lesser extent, may still have a certain value above its scrap value, as listed in the table that shows the dealer/salvage price for trucks depending on their state of repairability and replacement parts.

Model yearsEstimated dealer or salvage purchase rangeMain value factors
1994–1999Individual appraisal required, verified period-wide range unavailableEngine and transmission are operational, bed is in good shape, axles too, catalytic converters, frame is corroded condition of title, scrap conditions in Arizona
2000–2009Individual appraisal required, verified period-wide range unavailableHEMI components, transfer case, bed and tailgate, frame repairability, SRT-10 donor equipment, missing components, towing distance
2010–2019Individual appraisal required, verified period-wide range unavailableEight-speed transmission, usable HEMI or EcoDiesel components, emissions equipment, cab completeness, airbags, electronics, flood or fire exposure
2020–2027Individual appraisal required, verified period-wide range unavailableRepairable cab and chassis, the same platform and engine, cameras, lights, display screens, intact safety equipment, power train parts, recovery assistance

The usable components in a damaged Ram comprise engines, transmissions, transfer cases, axles, beds, tailgates, wheels, and seats, and electronics that are in working conditions. It is possible that newer trucks have usable components like the camera, lighting assembly, and restraint system that is not damaged. The extent of the damage in a Crew Cab of the truck that warrants repairs is not the same as a car that suffered destruction leaving wiring and structural damage. Components that belong to performance models could also be valuable in making an assessment provided their identity and state are known.

Older vehicles may gravitate towards salvage or scrap estimates once substantial repair costs exceed their resale value. The salvage value of the vehicle will reflect its potential for repair or component recovery, whereas the scrap value depicts the value of recoverable materials found in it after processing the truck. The absence of catalytic converters, removal of engines, damage to the frame rails, flood water contamination, and incomplete paperwork will significantly lower a purchase offer. Diesel emissions systems will also affect the truck’s ability to be repaired and completed.

Arizona pickup access is taken into account, plus the distance for towing, local scrap conditions, and any demand that there may be for the same drivetrain. A salvage vehicle that has been repaired usually needs to go through Arizona’s Level III inspection process and be restored salvage-titled before it can return to registered road use. Hence, the process preserves the brand of the title but does not replace the need for mechanical inspection and verification of repairs, airbags, and driver-assistance calibration.

    Ram Ram 1500 Trim Levels

The hierarchy of the trims took shape from simple working truck specifications and evolved into various comfort, luxury, off-road, and performance categories. Early Dodge trucks had names like ST, SLT, Laramie SLT, Sport, and Laramie, and models varied from year to year.

Model yearsCommon U.S. trims, generally entry to premium
1994–1999WS, ST, LT, Laramie SLT, Sport, year-dependent names and packages, Regular Cab, Club Cab, later Quad Cab
2000–2009ST, SLT, Sport, Laramie, Big Horn and Lone Star packages, Rumble Bee, SRT-10, 2006–2008 Mega Cab, year-dependent availability
2010–2019ST, Tradesman, Express, SLT, Big Horn, Lone Star, Outdoorsman, Sport, R/T, Laramie, Longhorn, Limited, Rebel, 2019 Classic Warlock
2020–2027Classic Tradesman, Express, SLT, Warlock through applicable years; redesigned Tradesman, Big Horn, Lone Star, Laramie, Rebel, Longhorn, Limited, Tungsten, RHO, TRX, 2027 TRX SRT

The SRT-10 in 2004-2006 was an exceptional factory-made model whose engine was based on the Viper V10 instead of a HEMI. The regular cab had a 6-speed manual gearbox; the later Quad Cab was fitted with an automatic transmission. One must not confuse the style and features of the Rumble Bee with the strength capabilities of the SRT-10.

The Ram brand offers several models including the Tradesman, Express, and the Big Horn that cater to a variety of everyday and work equipment needs. Models such as the Laramie, Longhorn, Limited, and Tungsten aim at more luxurious interiors. Models highlighted in the Rebel and RHO are designed around off-road performance. Additionally, the TRX adds another layer of performance to the line. The Classic versions, including Warlock, are based on an outdated platform.

Confirm the actual powertrain for new models as the change to the 2025 Hurricane and the return of the HEMI engine into the fold for 2026 render trim names unreliable for prediction of possible powertrains.

    About Automaker Ram

Established in 1900 by John and Horace Dodge, the manufacturing company produced its first motor vehicle, the Dodge car, in 1914. Chrysler took over the Dodge Company in 1928. The business has produced both passenger vehicles, muscle cars, and trucks in its Michigan plants, existing since the early years of the company’s operations. The Ram truck brand has appeared as a separate line since 2009, but the production of the 1500 continues.

At Sell Us Your Car, we invite questions on additional Dodge vehicles and Ram trucks such as the Charger, Challenger, Durango, Dakota, and the heavy-duty Ram pickups. In order to explore the right vehicle configuration, please provide the year, cab type, engine, mileage, title condition, Arizona location, and any known issues.
