The Nissan Xterra was a popular mid-size SUV option that was manufactured between 1999 and 2015. In the early days, up until 2004, the Xterra shared a lot of components with its mid-size pickup brother, the Frontier. When the second generation debuted in 2005, the Xterra used the same platform as both the Frontier and the Pathfinder, another mid-size option from Nissan.
